From London law school to cross-border legal consultant
I studied law in London at Brunel University, first an LL.B. in Business and Finance Law and then an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law, which I completed with Merit.
I began my career in trademark law at Vellani & Vellani in Karachi, one of Pakistan's leading IP firms, managing portfolios of more than 500 marks for multinational clients and preparing infringement and passing-off cases for court.
In Dubai, I worked on family, civil and real estate matters at Musthafa & Almana. In Toronto, I completed the Internationally Trained Lawyers Program at the University of Toronto and supported a major international arbitration during an internship at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg.
Working across four legal systems showed me how often a lawyer needs someone who can prepare a file properly, for the right jurisdiction, on a deadline. That's when I started my freelance practice.
